Review: SOLD ON A MONDAY by Kristina McMorris

51THj6muwRL._SY346_SOLD ON A MONDAY by Kristina McMorris / Women’s Fiction / Released Aug 28, 2018 by Sourcebooks Landmark

This gripping and compelling story inspired by an actual newspaper photo will tug at your heart strings page after page. Ms. McMorris does a splendid job with time and place.

Struggling reporter Ellis Reed and secretary Lillian Palmer, who longs for a column of her own, find themselves entangled in the story of 2 children for sale.  This Depression Era story captures the heartaches and impossible choices of the time.

It could have used a bit of tightening up in places and since I read a review copy (thank you NetGalley) I am hoping they did that in the final edit. Still an excellent read.
