Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light.” But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e., murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she’s been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life…and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely.
I was in the mood for a ghost story when I stumbled upon this series and I loved it so much I plowed through seven books in six days. No, I didn’t get a lot of sleep but I have no regrets:)
This is a very entertaining series. Charlie Davidson is private detective with a neighbor/best friend/secretary named Cookie who does her best to keep Charlie on track and well caffinated as she juggles life with the living and the dead. Life isn’t easy when you are the Grim Reeper.
Add to the mix the sizzling Son of Satan and a growing sense that something very dark and dangerous is coming, you’ve got a must read series with a marvelous collection of characters, non-stop humor and relentless action.
Book 8 comes out May 2015. Can’t wait!
